The Kitchen - a fresh look where tradition meets modern.

Must-haves: White shaker custom cabinets, Portuguese tile, farmhouse sink, blue accent color for island, pantry, new range and hood, new kitchen window (Anderson), Quartz countertops, new flooring and kitchen hardware.  My one wish is to use every inch of space in the kitchen in the most efficient manner thus maximizing my storage space.

On Friday, September 2, 2022 we met with our contractor Tarwat Bearany who suggested we make the kitchen window a counter-level window.  Here are some images to reference this concept.  Now we have already put the order in with Andersen Windows for a Awning Window for the kitchen measuring 58 1/2 x 34 1/4.  The proposed idea is for us to put in a window at counter-level that is a little larger.  I like the idea of an awning window because it would give the idea of the space being bigger and it would bring in more light.  I have a message out to Andersen Windows now to see if we can still make this modification before the window goes into production.

If the link doesn't work, here is a photo of our kitchen window now.

Here is the video from Friday, 8/26/22 when Andersen Windows came out to measure the windows per our initial order.  I had the tech who was measuring explain the plan for each window and then I video taped him so I could provide this to my contractor and whoever else might be helping me throughout the project (ex. designer).
